1. Who we are

Artellis (trading name of Richard Foley), Dublin, Ireland, is the data controller for this website and for enquiries you send us. Contact: rfoley@artellis.ie.

2. What we collect

• Contact & booking details: name, email, phone (if provided), company and the notes you send via forms or when booking a call.
• Conversations with Ella: transcripts of voice or chat interactions with our on-site assistant, plus a short summary sent to Richard when useful.
• Basic technical data: anonymised analytics (pages viewed, referrer, approximate location) and standard server logs.

3. Why we use it (lawful basis)

We use your data to reply to your enquiry, arrange and run calls, improve the service, and keep the site running securely. Lawful bases under the GDPR: your consent (analytics, Ella conversations), performance of a contract (calls and engagements you initiate), and our legitimate interests (site security, service improvement).

4. Retention

Enquiry and booking records are kept for as long as needed to serve you and to meet legal/accounting obligations (typically up to 6 years for tax records, shorter for unconverted enquiries). Analytics data is retained in aggregate. Ella conversation transcripts are retained for up to 12 months and then deleted.

5. Who we share it with

We use a small number of trusted processors to run the site and communicate with you: our hosting/analytics provider, our booking and scheduling tools, our voice/chat AI provider, and standard email delivery services. We do not sell your data. Processors act on our instructions and under written agreements.

6. International transfers

Some processors may store or process data outside the EEA. Where they do, we rely on adequacy decisions or Standard Contractual Clauses to protect your data.

7. Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or port your personal data, and to object to processing. To exercise these rights, email rfoley@artellis.ie. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the Data Protection Commission (Ireland) at dataprotection.ie.

8. Cookies

We use a small number of cookies for essential site function and privacy-respecting analytics. Where consent is required, we'll ask before setting non-essential cookies.

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in the "last updated" date above.
