Questions clients ask first
The six things that come up on nearly every first call, answered plainly.
- What does Artellis actually do?
- Artellis is a Dublin-based AI consultancy for Irish SMEs. We pick one slow, manual workflow in your business, build a working version of it on your own data, keep a person in the approval loop, then hand it over with documentation and training so your team runs it without us.
- What size of company do you work with?
- Mostly Irish companies between 10 and 250 people, plus consulting partners who need a build arm. Small enough that one workflow makes a visible difference, big enough that the same task repeats every week. If a spreadsheet still runs the process, you are the right size.
- How long before something is actually working?
- Week one produces a working prototype on your own data, not a slide deck. A full workflow typically runs live in the business in about six weeks, including the handover. You decide at the end of each phase whether the next one is worth doing.
- Do we need clean data or an AI strategy first?
- No. Most clients start with messy spreadsheets, inboxes and PDFs, and that is normal. We work with what exists and tidy only what the workflow needs. A strategy document with no working tool behind it is usually the more expensive mistake.
- Will AI replace people on our team?
- No. Every Artellis build keeps a named human approving output before anything leaves the business. The tool reads, matches and drafts; a person still decides and the system logs both. That is better practice and it is what the EU AI Act expects of deployers.
- Where are you based and do you meet in person?
- Artellis is based in Rathfarnham, Dublin 14, and works with clients across Ireland. Most delivery is remote, which keeps costs down, and Dublin and Leinster clients regularly have the first session and the handover in person.
